These are my thoughts about a fanfiction I read, and so much more!

So, now that we've got that out of the way...


Today my Dad grabbed my router and held it hostage for the day. Tonight, I got it back. In the internet outage, I found a MLP:FiM Fanfiction called Past Sins on my Hard Drive. I started to read it.

In the end, I read 553 pages on my computer screen in about 3 hours, absorbing and loving every second of it.

Here's the
On a dark night filled with even darker magics, an insane cult attempts to give Nightmare Moon a body and life of her own, utterly separate from Princess Luna. But, when the spell is interrupted by Celestia, something unexpected is created.

Now, an little black alicorn filly named Nyx finds herself living under the care of Twilight Sparkle, only to be haunted by memories and emotions from her past. Is the filly Nightmare Moon reborn or is she simply a doppelganger with a soul and mind of her own? Can Twilight Sparkle protect Nyx from those refuse to see past her dragon eyes and black coat?

Or, will Nyx be forced to inherit the sins that may not even be hers and become the greatest evil Equestria has ever known?

Let me tell you right now, I cried about 4-5 times while reading this story. It's a touching story of motherly love, betrayal, and acceptance, all in a tale about a pony trying to find who she really is, and what she really is destined to be.
The reason why I love this fanfiction so much is because it ends on a high note, but also... something more.
The story has a good general message. Just like an episode would.

The message is...

You can change who you are, and what you can be.​


That ending rocked my soul like a bombshell just hit it.
The entire day, I've been grumbling and complaining to myself about how I don't have the internet, how my dad sucks, etc, etc, etc.
This story changed my attitude completely.

For the past few weeks, I've been acting like an ass. I haven't been loving and tolerating like I once was. My character has been rude, snobby and ignorant. I apologize to all of you whom I've offended. ( This list includes rsmv2you and nic1234. )

I've also become rebellious towards my parents, something I've never done, and never wanted to be. My parents have been the most loving and caring people I could ask for, and I've treated them... well... like utter shit, in blatant terms. I've talked back, acted horribly, and have been a general ass to them, something I hoped I would never come to be.

But you know what I've learned?

I can change.

I can fix the wrongs I've done, and I can change what I'm becoming. I don't have to be this egoistic soulless asshole who doesn't care about anybody. I don't have to become something I honestly don't want to be.

I know I'll have to face the consequences of what I've done, and I'm OK with that.

Just like the character in the story, I have this power, this power here, on these forums.

I'm a Well-Known Member.

I don't wave it around much, and I'd like to keep it that way. I've always been loved and accepted by you guys, and I appreciate every second of it, I really do. I'd like to thank you all for being so loving and warming as a whole.

(Don't want to list specific people here, but I'm sure you all know who you are. ;) <3 )

I'm sorry for acting like an ass the past few weeks, and I'm going to be changing my character to be more loving and accepting to those who I don't exactly agree with.




But, in other news, you should totally read that fanfic. It's awesome, and very very well written.

I too read it in one sitting, it's one of my favourite fanfics.
Also, guess your parents had the right idea taking that router away from you. ;)

Even though I might not be on the list, somebody didn't have to make it. But that's okay, I still love your hard tacoy shell <3
 
The whole plot of the story is very dynamic. It could fit in with several different...'options' and still be a good story. If you know what i'm saying.

@Taco - dude, I love you with the most extravagant of homos, but it's a bad gameplan to praise me in a pny blog. But, I digress. You are a demigod of sexual quesadilla thrust, and I have no beef with you (except that which is already inside your delectable body, ahem).
