Hehe...I kinda have a little problem. I can't get the map to work.
My girlfriend has it working, so it's probably just him.ohnoes! an hour of my time better not have been wasted... and 2gb of memory...

You need to run it as a multiplayer server with Bukkit and Dynmap...Gahhhh x_x
You need to run it as a multiplayer server with Bukkit and Dynmap...
For the online map to work properly....you need to have the world loaded on a Bukkit server with Dynmap. It's fairly easy to set up on your own machine as a localhost server, you don't even have to open any ports. You're kidding.
(I really hope you are)
Well, then ignore what I said about the server. Is the map working now? That's what I meant. XD

EDIT: Unless, of course, you're referring to this map, in which case I am kidding.
I'm going to go with the fact that our world is tiny so that we don't have to have a wipe when terrain generation updates....the map just gets expanded.
And make it so fewer biomes generate with each expansion? Why?
Perhaps, but perhaps not. There will still be a diverse amount of biomes to look into and may make it easier to share a biome in a prime location this way. Though, all I really care about in terms of generation is reducing the amount of ocean.Large biomes = fewer biomes in each expansion. Keep in mind the map is only expanding by about 500 blocks each time
If that's all, I'm in full agreement. But modifying terrain generation is a bitch
Or an insanely large ocean.Well, changing the terrain code now to large biomes would most definitely (I believe, if indeed the biomes are merely extended and not abruptly changed) to the west would become VERY large masses of land.
