yes, the mobs are a little too overdone, but its not the mobs i like it for, its the block textures. i prefer a nice looking building compared to a cheesy plastic looking one that you would get from some other packs.

I suggest the 128 x 128 but if your PC can handle it, go 512. Its a vector pack converted into MC texture.

Do you know Bamt4st1c? That's the one I use. It's still on 1.6.4, but who cares, I haven't found one that fits my need as well as that one, so I think I'll just stick with that and Pistons being just black.

When texture packs are old, I just copy in the new blocks into that texture pack. Looks odd, but less odd than black/purple funky things.

Course I haven't really used a real texture pack in awhile now.
