Any albums you guys like or considered your favorites... just recently discovered king crimson's 1969 album "in the court of the crimson king" and I have to say it has to be one of my favourite albums of all time and I'm curious on what people like.

metalgtr hinted at a couple bands I enjoy, here are some other albums from them that are my favorites, with some other bands included:

Testament_%28band%29_-_The_Gathering_%28album%29.jpg

This is one of Testament's 'newer' albums, but contains a heavier, yet just as brutal sound than their earlier discography. Dave Lombardo of Slayer is also featured on the drums.

Metallica_-_Ride_the_Lightning_cover.jpg

The predecessor to Master of Puppets, Ride the Lightning features arguably Metallica's best work as a band.

SodomPersecutionmania.jpg

Probably one of the most underrated metal bands ever, in my opinion, Sodom's Persecution Mania contains some of the best work of the band's career during the era with Frank Blackfire on guitar.

Megadeth_-_Peace_Sells..._But_Who%27s_Buying-.jpg

While Rust in Peace is arguably Megadeth's best album, my personal favorite is Peace Sells due to its extremely raw and revolutionary sound for its era.

Symbolic_Album.jpg

For a band that really cleaned up its instrumental work over the years, Symbolic is, in my opinion, the pinnacle of Chuck Schuldiner's work with his band.

CowboysFromHell.jpg

This album answered so many questions to what was going to happen to metal in the 90s after the breakout during the 80s. What Peace Sells (among others) was to the mid-80s, this was to the early 90s for the metal genre. And Dimebag is a beast on this album.

Sepultura_-_Beneath_the_Remains.jpg

From Brazil, Sepultura's Beneath the Remains has evolved into one of the gems of the thrash metal scene.

Judaspainkiller.JPG

This album just kicks so much ass, no questions asked.

Reign_in_blood.jpg

And who could forget fucking Slayer? Well, I didn't... This album is just insane.

I guess I could start with these for now, there are a lot more I enjoy :)

Even tho I love King Crimson's Debut album.... I believe that this is their greatest song. (From their 2nd best album) It's pretty much the prefect song for me. The ending climax gives me goosebumps everytime :)

anyone who loves progressive rock, will love this song.

(Fun fact: Kurt Cobain apparently was deeply influenced by this song.)

Huey_Lewis_%26_The_News_Fore!_CD_cover.JPG

Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor.

But seriously.

David Bowie's lets dance is quite possibly one of his most best albums in my opinion, while it has been reffered to as 'babbys first bowie'. It's still an amazing album in it's own right. It sets out to do one thing and one thing only, make you dance. Move your feet, anything and it does that wonderfully. With a start of my most faourite song, ever, 'Modern Love' is a song much about nothing, but lyrics aren't that paramount to this song, it's fast pace and ska tones are a perfect opener to the album, just what is needed to get you warmed u-

You know I could do this for every song, but I can't be fucked.
Shits good yo'.

But seriously, listen to Criminal World, a great bowie song that is really over-looked by those who casually listen to him.

Next, however is Fleetwood Mac's 'Rumours'

Just..
Yea.
It's wonderful and I love it.
Probably their best album of all, literally every song on Side A is absolutely fantastic and Side B while has a few ehs, it's all still very enjoyable. It's lackluster end

However I think the scale between the two is just the fact the start is brilliant, and they put all the eh songs at the end, which I can see why they'd do so.
While it isn't everyones cuppa tea, it's great for those who enjoy the genere.

I just listened to the fleetwood mac album and I actually enjoyed it.... The vocals remind me a lot of Jon Anderson From "Yes". (Especially from their album "Close to the Edge")
