I clocked over 300 hours on Pokemon Blue. Then I saved up for about a month for Pokemon Red so I could complete that Pokedex. I couldn't have been more that five, and I was as obsessive as I am now.
Then my parents stopped buying me AA batteries for my Gameboy, had to give it up. That was about a day after I'd finally gotten enough Game Corner credits to buy a Dratini. If I remember correctly, I'd leveled it to about 46 and it had evolved into a Dragonaire.
The Pokedex count still stands at 150 (Yes I'd attended the special event and gotten a Mew). I may just fish that old game out and grind a few more levels, for completion and old times sake.

Pokemon blue was the one I always played. It seems like I was 8 years old or so when it came out though so I had a few years of gaming under my belt by then. Epic game though.
