You just did the awesomest thing ever. Placing blocks in a protected area. Woot can remove those blocks easy, but he'll be puzzled if he doesn't see this. No worries, it's not big, just a few blocks.

There is in fact a portal (other than this new one) in spawn protection. It originally was near these two houses that got cuboided flat, but the portal still exists in the Nether...
